I got this picture of Skye on her last visit to us before she moved to Idaho. I think she is a ham for sure. We sure do miss her and the rest of the family!

Our New Family Member

It has been awhile! Busy, Busy, Busy!!! Helped our son and family move out of state, Looking into getting a different RV and today is our 32nd Wedding Anniversary. We have inherited another dog into our family. Pepsi makes three and it happened when our son couldn't take two doge with him to his new home. It is supposed to only be temporary but we know how that goes. We have our Jack Russell to prove that! Just wanted to touch base with you all.

Grand Prix

What a disappointment the Grand Prix turned out to be. A lot of angry people there, and every right to be too.

"The harp player"....she is a beautiful player of the harp,but I had to wait for her to play the bongos to get a shot of her in the harp frame. 

Rainbows over the festival camping area and stage...was a beautiful site to see 

Palm creek Folk Festival....I survived it for another year...must be a mid life thingy

Off to do my clinical rotations

I've got my clinicals scheduled for this week, Mon, Tues, Wed from 1600-2400. I'll be doing them down at Baytown EMS (click the title for the website).

It's a highly populated area with lots of different types of folks living there. Should be an interesting couple of evenings. I've got my kit packed up and my new uniform all set out (almost like the first day of school..remember those days??).

Youngest is with my Dad for a couple of weeks, so I'm going to squeeze out 24 of the 84 hours of clinicals required by the state before they will license me. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Let's hope for some really juicy stuff the next few nights!!!

Big Brother

Big Brother UK is back, and the first housemate has been evicted. I promised myself that I would not watch it this year, because how could the housemates top last years. I have broken my promise already and have become hooked once again.

Upgrades

Around six this evening, I decided I had better come off the message board and tidy the kitchen. Taking all of five minutes to tidy and clean the kitchen, I dashed back to the message board, to find it was being upgraded. How disappointed I was. So I got up, and went to practice my mandoline playing. (Much to the displeasure of everyone else in the house).

The Message Board

Oh no, they are doing an upgrade on the message board. It will be off for about 24 to 36 hours, or so they say. Oh blimey.

Here is an Australian possum. Much cuter than a Texan one, I must say. Are they as big a nuisance there as they are here???

Child Custody!

A seven year old Brisbane boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama
last week when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody
of him. The boy had a long history of being beaten by his parents and
the Magistrate duly awarded custody to his Aunt.

However, the boy confirmed that his Aunt beat him more than his parents
and refused to live there. When the Magistrate suggested that he live
with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they beat him more than
anyone. The magistrate then dramatically allowed the boy to choose who
should have custody of him.

Custody was granted to the New South Wales State Of Origin side this
morning as the boy firmly believes that they are not capable of beating
anyone.
